                              What I'm Working On

 Finding Giovanni Cortelli's Passenger Arrival Document

  I've contacted the "Town Clerk" of Crevelcore for

information on the LODI family. She said

it will take time to put it together and will let me

know when it's ready. I have not heard back from

Cento's "anagrafe" (town clerk) yet. 8/15/10

Found

  Giovanni and Elvira's Marriage Record at

the Mass. Archives in Boston, MA

Info included in updated Genealogy Page

   Luigi Cortelli's Natralization Record showing

he became a citizen 23 October 1902 after

having lived in the United States for 10 years

Giovanni's parents names: Celso Cortelli and Eva Fortini

 On Italy's equivalent of "WhitePages.com",

I found approximately 137 Cortellis in the whole country;

32 of whom live in the region where Nonna and Giovanni were from; 39 live in Sicily; and 32 in Lazio, the region Rome is in.

The remainder are scattered throughout the

northern part of the country.
