Here is a good example of the benefit
of noting any information you come across in relation to a family
you are researching. When we were in the Windham Town Hall, looking
through the vital records, we came across the marriage record of
Carrie Drum, daughter to George F. and Lucy Drum, the older sister
to Fannie, Papa's mother. I wouldn't go looking for her marriage
information, but since it was right there, I made a note of it in my
computer file. Later, when trying to find the 1920 Census for George
F. Drum, I was hitting a brick wall. As you can see, his name is
hard to make out on this particular census. I wasn't sure I had
found it. But, three families up is the Howard and Carrie Crandell
family. I quickly checked my notes and found that Carrie Drum had
married Howard Crandell in 1898.
