Garwood Tuttle and Eleanor Cargill were Grandma's great-great grandparents. They had six children. David B. was the

youngest and his mother was 45 years old when she had him.

 

Eleanor's father was Zachariah Cargill.

 

Garwood's father was Ezekiel Tuttle.

 

Ezekiel was an early settler in the West Settlement

area of Ashland, arriving after 1800 from Connecticut.

David B. Tuttle and Augusta Layman were Grandma's

great grandparents. They had 6 children. Their second daughter, Cornelia Tuttle, married William Griffin

and they were Grandma's grandparents, the

parents of her mother, Jesse Griffin.
