This notebook was written by Papa's older brother,
Bernard Law, (#17 in the Law Family Genealogy),
and is now in possession of my mother, Bernard's niece.
This notebook provided a lot of information and connecting the dots
on individuals I would not have pursued getting more
information on, and thus completing the record more fully.
It also provided many exact birth and death dates for the Law Family,
when tombstones offered only the years. (Romaine Law is a good example
of this; he was Papa's father.)
It also provided the names of the witnesses and the location of
George W. Law and Julia E. Barber's 1873 marriage,
(Papa's Grandparents) which I probably would never have known.
There are many other ways in which this has been a substantial tool,
really emphasizing to me the need to put down in writing, or some other
physical format, all the information from our own families and our stories. Without
this notebook and the other invaluable Major Family Resources, much of this
information would be either completely lost OR extremely hard to find.
Please note: These are scanned images of photocopies of the original.
I've compressed the images in this page; I'm hoping to scan the original at some point,
but for now, this will have to do. I've transcribed what I could to the right.
